Why we see different colors

We see different colours in this world. When we see different colours in the world, then a question comes to our mind that why we see different colours in the world. The answer to this question is given below;
The colour of an object depends upon the properties of the object. A white light of seven colours like violet, blue, cyan, green, yellow, orange and red falls on an object. These seven colours have different wavelengths.

   Why we see the black colour?

If all the seven colours of light are absorbed by a material and no colour is reflected, then we will see the black colour of the material.

    Why we see the white color?

If all the seven colors of light are reflected by a material and no color is absorbed, then we will see the white color of the material.

    Why we see the red colour?

If only the red color of the light is reflected by a material and all the other colors are absorbed, then we will see the red color of the material.

    Why we see the blue color?

If only the blue colour of the light is reflected by a material and all the other colours are absorbed, then we will see the blue colour of the material.

    Why we see the yellow color?

If only the yellow colour of the light is reflected by a material and all the other colours are absorbed, then we will see the yellow colour of the material.

    Why we see the green color?

If only the green colour of the light is reflected by a material and all the other colours are absorbed, then we will see the green colour of the material.

    Why we see the orange color?

If only the orange colour of the light is reflected by a material and all the other colours are absorbed, then we will see the orange colour of the material.

All the other colours in the world are the mixtures of the basic seven colours that are present in the white light. For example, if we want to make the pink colour, then we will have to mix the red and white colours. In a similar way, we can make any desired colour in the world simply by mixing different colours.

In a similar way, we see numerous colours in the world.
